Art & Lisdillon

Crispin and his wife, Jane, always loved art. Jane in particular has an insatiable appetite for collecting art and has packed her house to the brink with sculptures, paintings, and drawings. There has been a plethora of artists who have portrayed Lisdillon in different forms. Their close friend, Kerry Gregan (a well known artist) often stayed at “the hut” on Lisdillon, relaxing and painting her surroundings. Kerry Gregan died in 2007 and in memory of her, Crispin and Jane refurbished and renamed the hut, The Kerry Gregan Artist’s Retreat (or The Gregan Retreat for short).

The Gregan Retreat is mainly for artists who would like to get away, stay in a relaxing environment, work on their art, and maybe try a bottle or few of our wine! We hope to provide an encouraging environment, and to help to promote artists. We would like to hang a piece of art the artists have completed, inspired by Lisdillon, in our cellar door once it is completed. To read more about the The Gregan Retreat and to book a stay, go to the “Accommodation” page.

We encourage anyone who has photographed, drawn, or painted a picture of Lisdillon to send a copy to thecottons@lisdillon.com.au and they will post it on either their site or social media accounts.
